Makers Foundation, a registered non – profit organisation in Manipur (North East, India), was established in
the year 2008 to work with different marginalised communities ensuring their participation, involvement
leading to empowerment. The foundation envisioned a future where ever individual, family or community has
an opportunity to live life with good health, education, decent food, clothes and shelter.
The mission of the foundation is to build as many Community Resources and Community Assets by empowering
the community through their engagement and involvement.
The main initiatives and achievement of the foundation include; establishing IPA IBUNGO ALCOHOL & DRUG
DE ADDICTION & REHABILITATION CENTRE (2017) and a MID WAY HOME (2019) with INCOME GENERATING
PROGRAMME (IGP) in the state of Manipur for Alcohol and Drug Use community.
The Rehabilitation Centre which is currently 50 bedded caters to different residential and non-residential care
& treatment services. The Mid way Home which is 30 bedded with Income Generation Programme (IGP) was
constructed and built by the rehabilitated community from the Rehabilitation Centre. The structure (including
